Braun ran the LIBOR and FX investigations into the conduct of bankers at the world’s leading financial institutions, and he took the lead in coordinating with law enforcement agencies around the world on those cases.

“We are delighted to welcome Dan to our white-collar investigations team,” said Freshfield’s Aaron Marcu. “Dan’s expertise in complex global investigations is a perfect fit for our rapidly growing multi-jurisdictional defense practice.”

Braun said that Freshfields “stands out for its unique ability to help clients navigate the most complex and important enforcement matters, especially in the landscape we see today, where investigations frequently raise multifaceted issues in multiple jurisdictions.”

“I look forward to being a part of an outstanding and growing white-collar group in the US that is one component of the leading international practice that Freshfields has built and continues to strengthen,” Braun said.
